Our Story

Corps Exquis was co-created by Montréal-based artists Reid James Jenkins and Dominique Desbiens. The project first took shape during Nuit Blanche 2024, in collaboration with Atelier Circulaire and Arprim, at the historic Belgo Building in downtown Montréal. With the support of a volunteer team, more than 700 participants took part in the activity over the course the evening.

Following this success, the Musée des beaux-arts de Sherbrooke invited the game into its spring–summer programming. The team then reworked the structure of the installation to make it more autonomous and mobile—notably through the creation of new printing stations and a custom-built transport container.

A condensed version, Mini Corps Exquis, was later presented as part of the Rentrée de Gaspé, an art event in Montréal’s Mile End that attracted several hundred visitors.

In 2025, the fully updated version returned to Nuit Blanche Montréal at Atelier Circulaire, where approximately 500 participants were able to take part in a fully autonomous format. A new series of stamps inspired by the Studio 5445 pop culture theme was also developed for the occasion.
